Group Accountant

Grafton Banks are representing a progressive and acquisitive group to fill a newly created Group Accountant role. Backed by Private Equity, this is an exciting time to join the business as you will have the opportunity to implement procedures, processes and controls and play a role in shaping the group moving forward.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will need to be a technically gifted Accountant, able to manipulate and analyse large quantities of data, whilst also being IT and systems literate. Furthermore, you should be ambitious, hungry and keen to grow and succeed in a developing and ever- changing organisation.

Role responsibilities include -

  • Monthly management accounting
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • P&L and Balance Sheet Management
  • Year end reporting and Audit work
  • Raising invoices and purchase orders
  • Acquisition accounting

Skills Required -

  • Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Practice-Trained Accountant looking for your first move into industry, or
  • Industry-trained looking for a new opportunity.
  • Experience in Statutory Accounting and/or Monthly Management Accounting
  • Excellent basic accounting skills, as well as some experience of P&L, Balance sheet and financial analysis
  • Keen eye for designing procedures and standardising processes.
