Home Counties - Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Kent, Hampshire

Audit & Assurance

My client is a top 10 UK Private Equity backed Professional Services Practice firm with hyper-growth plans across the UK and trusted by over 120,000 clients and customers, looking to expand their team across a number of offices across the Home Counties region. With 100 offices in the UK alone, along with operations in the USA and Nordics they are a 6,500 strong team of likeminded individuals whose ambition is to be a challenger to the 'big 4' Accountancy firms whilst also offering a personal service to their clients, who range from start-ups at the beginning of their enterprise journey, to high net worth private clients looking to protect and grow their hard-earned wealth.

My client was also awarded the prestigious '2020 Financial Directors Best UK Accounting Firm' - a survey which asks the UK's leading Financial Directors how satisfied they are with their service providers.

As a Senior in our Audit department you will be heavily involved in the completion of audit fieldwork/planned substantive and analytical audit procedures, normally on site at client premises. You will have the responsibility for the planning and completion of audit assignments, whilst ensuring audit files have appropriate and sufficient documentation. You will prepare statutory financial statements from client data and highlight high level risk areas or matters of concern to the Partner/Manager whilst using a significant degree of your own judgement. As your responsibilities continue to develop you will be planning the execution and finalisation of the audit assignments for Partner/Manager review.

Values are at the centre of the companies work approach. My client is looking for people who believe in the same drivers, so that they can work together with you, so that you and their clients can achieve success. As a business they believe they are stronger together and that sharing knowledge will empower everyone to achieve more collectively. They are seeking proactive individuals who adapt quickly to change and find smart ways of solving problems to deliver best results for their clients.

The company wants to attract and retain the best talent, so the relationship between you and the company is of the utmost importance and they want your voice to be heard. They offer training and development to all employees. They do this to nurture talent and to bring out the best in it's people.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong experience working within external Audit practice
  • Be ACA / ACCA qualified or part qualified
  • Be able to lead, manage and motivate junior team members
  • Want to build a long term career within a top 10 Practice firm

Benefits - What's in it for you?

  • Competitive Salary
  • Pension
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Life Assurance
  • Employee Referral Bonus
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Employee Benefits Portal
  • Extensive Learning and Development Opportunities
  • Opportunity to attend social events
