A qualified/part qualified accountant is required for one of our major clients to join their company during a very exciting new phase of development and change. Based in Hull, the role will require good generalist accounting skills, a high standard of accuracy and systems literacy. Candidate who are both qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or nearly qualified with the relevant skills and experience will be considered.

THE ROLE:

-The successful candidate will take responsibility for the management and maintenance of the general ledger, provide analysis on the financial performance, variance analysis and ensure month end duties are completed to agreed timetables
-Maintain the fixed asset register, account for and report on projects, review the balance sheet and P and L accounts, balance sheet reconciliations
-Provide input into statutory reporting and tax packs as and when required
-Ad hoc duties and responsibilities as and when required

THE CANDIDATE:

- Ideally a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with good generalist skills, you are looking to develop further in a fast paced environment with a well known name
-You have excellent attention to detail, are organised, technically adept and great at working to and meeting deadlines
-An effective communicator with first class inter-personal skills, you enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team and enjoy working towards a positive end result
-Candidates who are nearly qualified, finalists/passed finalists will also be considered with the relevant skills and experience required for the role
