Our Tax team is truly specialist in what they do and they're looking for a bright individual to join their Customs team. This unique role offers the opportunity to study for a professional qualification and what's more, you'll be joining a leading Global Brand.

The role

Your main task will be to support with customs compliance within the UK & Europe. You'll maintain and update customs management system (SAP GTS); working closely with IT to ensure changes configured; and supporting IT from a customs perspective with updates. You will also be responsible for reviewing customs duty data for imports and exports to identify, quantify and correct errors. This will cover the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands.

Assisting Logistics with import customs declarations through the SAP GTS system when issues arise, we can assure you no day will be the same.

We'll also look to you to review commodity code reporting, validate codes allocated to footwear articles to ensure accurate customs declarations. There is also scope to assist with other taxes including SDLT compliance. Providing the business with relevant duty information for planning, accounting and footwear classification purposes, including providing training materials to the Product Teams and answering queries your role will be an important one.

A bit about you

First and foremost, you'll need to be a real team player, great with people and keen to lend a helping hand. You will also have exposure to a similar background, with good technical knowledge and be up to date with customs changes.

We'll also need someone who is highly organised and has a natural eye for detail, as this role requires accuracy. Experience of managing your own workload and working to tight deadlines is crucial.

You should also have an AAT qualification or equivalent (or be working towards this). You'll need sound IT skills with experience in dealing with complex systems like SAP GTS. There is scope for equilivant qualifications to be considered if coming from an IT background.
