Tingley, Wakefield preferred - UK wide - remote working

THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and business minded indirect Tax/VAT specialist to join our VAT Consultancy team in a senior capacity.

This role will take responsibility for the management of the VAT Consultancy team and ensure successful delivery of our existing consultancy contracts and sales targets, whilst continuously developing a the growth strategy for the future within an ever evolving NHS VAT/Tax landscape.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

CTA Qualified and/or relevant experienceStrong VAT/TAX experience ideally with NHS VAT and COS experience - although this is not essential.Significant experience within the Indirect tax arena. This could be gained through working in Customs and Excise, within Practice at a Big 4' firm or another reputable accounting firm, or mixed, in house background, within Industry and practiceAbility to make well informed decisions on complex raw data complying with any relevant legislationAble to manage a team and its processes, looking to continuously improve and develop both alike.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Working independently to manage the VAT Consultancy Team.Own and put in place a system for continuously improving the various processes undertaken within the team to deliver the existing client contracts.Report on the team financial performance, including costs, revenue, and sales pipelineTo promote and manage the sale of VAT Consultancy services. Support the expansion of VAT Consultancy Services and generate income through the achievement of sales targets.Manage and facilitate VAT seminars to clients.Prepare technical VAT documents and communications for clients.Working with finance and commercial teams to support on billing arrangements.Provide internal and external training to develop the team and clients.Provide VAT consultancy services to clients such as Partial Exemption and Business/Non-Business reviews; NHS VAT Capital reviews; Output Tax reviews; Contract reviews and any ad-hoc work required by client organisations in order to meet their VAT statutory obligations.
