We have an opportunity for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join the zest team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Commercial Finance Analyst will work closely with the management team to create and develop financial and non-financial models. They will identify key areas of improvement which will help support the financial plan.

salary:

  • Salary £36,000-38,000
  • Hours are 37.5 per week

Main

Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed financial and non-financial models using Microsoft Excel.
  • Produce sales models, ROI Models, customer profitability and future investment models as directed by the Financial Controller.
  • Identify key improvements in current processes and build strong working relationships with the senior management team.
  • Manage large complex data sets, manipulate data and identify trends whilst challenging and questioning outcomes.
  • Assess if data is complete and accurate, perform data cleansing if required.
  • Detect corrupt or inaccurate records within the database. Identify incomplete, incorrect, inaccurate parts of the data and recommend remedial action such as replacing, modifying or deleting the inaccurate data.
  • Perform detailed analysis of external & internal information and identify cost savings where appropriate.
  • Provide support to the Financial Controller on strategic finance projects.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Experienced in working on multiple projects and in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Prior experience within a similar analyst or commercial finance role.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Commercially focused.
  • Ability to communicate with managers across the business.
  • An inquisitive mind and a desire to understand the key mechanics of a business will be key to succeeding in this role.
