Part-Time Chief Financial Officer
The Ecclesbourne School is delighted to offer an opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic finance professional to play a key role in the effective and efficient provision and maintenance of the financial and accounting administration of one of the East Midland's leading schools.
Working closely with the Head Teacher, Governors and Strategic Leadership Team, you will be responsible for providing a senior control, oversight and strategic financial and accounting support to the school, including policy setting and application, resource and budget management, investment of the school reserves and all elements of financial administration and ensuring the effective continuity of the governing body's legal business and records management, in accordance with national statutory duties and legislation.
Our ideal candidate will have a relevant accountancy qualification, a genuine interest in keeping abreast of educational development and legislation affecting schools, integrity, strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. Experience of a similar role would be advantageous, not essential.
Hours will total 7.5 per week and this role is being offered as a 52-week or term-time contract (please state your preference when applying). Hours will be worked between 8.30am to 4.30pm and can be worked as one full day or two half days. This role includes a requirement to work some evenings, therefore, flexible working will be required at certain times of the year, of which notice will be given.
