SW1Y, LondonSOCAR Trading are looking for a Cost Controller to be responsible for ensuring department budgets are adhered to and cost controls are put in place. This role is reporting to Head of Accounting. Core Responsibilities
• Work in conjunction with all department heads to ensure maximum profitability
• Provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections
• Assess all resources, and services to ensure the best price
• Remain acutely aware of market trends that could impact resource costs
• Keep up to date on new vendors and possible cost-cutting partnerships
• Collaborate with department heads to strategize ways to minimize waste
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the interdependency of cost drivers
• Understand the entire arc of the business and how productivity impacts profitability
• Commit to maximizing efficiency at all levels without compromising quality
• Develop and implement proactive solutions and cost-cutting measures
• Present new strategies and assessments to stakeholders in a compelling fashion
• Roll out clear cost-saving programs with timelines and assessment goalsExperience/skills
• Experience of covering both Oil & LNG is preferable,
• At least 2 years' experience in a similar role,
• Experience working at an oil major
• Soft Skills: Reliable with good time management skills; ability to interact effectively with all teams and heads of departments and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Educated to master's degree level
• Fluency in English, Russian & Azeri (written and spoken)
