This role is fundamental to the success of the newly created Finance Operations Team as a Centre of Excellence for the transactional areas of Finance. Reporting to the Senior Manager - Finance Operations and Tax, this role is instrumental in driving through the change required to deliver service excellence, process improvements and efficiencies and collaboration across the wider team. An essential part of the role will be to coach the Finance Operations Analysts to providing a high quality financial transactional service that meets the expectations of the business, its customers and suppliers and to take on additional accounting and month end activities as appropriate.

What you'll do:Coach and develop the Finance Operations Assistants towards service excellence for all of their stakeholders, both internal and externalEnsure challenging KPIs are both set and met (or exceeded) by all team members on a regular basisCome up with innovative ideas to change current processes and actively utilise internal networks to progress improvements to ways of working Actively seek out feedback from stakeholders in the business to improve performance in the team to ensure business and external expectations are metEnsure that ledgers are accurately controlled, with the timely and robust reconciliation of all control accounts (including investigation and correlation of variances), so that the financial position of the organisation can be determined accurately at any timeCreate a strong finance controls environmentManage specific projects to deliver changes in ways of working or systems to create a more effective and efficient teamEssential skills required:Proven people leader, capable of coaching and developing team members to high performanceAbility to drive process improvement and efficienciesHighly motivated, resilient and driven individualStakeholder management skills with the ability to flex style of communication dependent upon audienceCollaborative approach, willing to take on board feedback and give constructively to others to enhance performanceActively looks to improve the current service and exceed their customers current needs.Desirable skills:

• IT skills with strong knowledge of Excel including pivot tables and lookups
• Competent in the use of ERP systems (SAP desirable)
