Are you a pensions professional looking to expand your expertise? Want to develop an engaging career as a Pensions Officer with a growing national educational charity? If so, read on.

About Us

Oasis Community Learning (OCL) is a ground-breaking global movement and group of charities and social enterprises working in 51 community hubs located in 11 countries across the world.

We create a new sense of neighbourhood in communities that had previously been forgotten by society and our Community Hub enables people to come together and fulfil their potential.

We are also raising the educational bar through our academies. A family of 52 educational institutions serving over 28,000 students from a variety of backgrounds, our academies seek to close the educational gap that exists between disadvantaged students and their more privileged counterparts.

We are now looking for a Pensions Officer to join our friendly team and support our pensions and payroll activities.

The Benefits

- Salary of £23,628 - £25,377 per annum
- Outstanding local government pension scheme (14.2% employer contribution)
- A Continuous Professional Development programme to support your progression
- 25 days' holiday per annum (rising to 30 with service) plus Bank Holidays

Within a supportive and fast-paced environment, you will have the chance to increase your knowledge, learn about public sector payroll and take ownership of our pension administration activities.

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work with people at all levels of our organisation and play an important role in the smooth running of our charity.

So, if you are looking to develop a rewarding career in payroll and pensions, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

As our Pensions Officer, you will support, and eventually lead, our pension administration activities.

Reporting to the Deputy Pensions Manager, you will:

- Act as the first point of contact for pensions-related queries
- Make sure that pensions forms are completed and sent in a timely manner for all new starters
- Keep abreast of developments regarding pensions
- Escalate any issues to the Deputy Pensions Manager
- Assist with any team projects

About You

- Experience of working on an integrated payroll and/or HR system, ideally within education
- At a minimum, GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent)
