We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious Cost Accountant, to join our Finance Department and play an active role in supporting our continued growth across our Global operations. You will be responsible for compiling and presenting financial management information to support strategy and secure cost of sales targets to the key business decision makers.
Successful candidates will be of a high calibre, with the drive and ambition to take ownership, drive savings and add value to the business supporting the company's continuous improvement strategy.
You must be accurate and professional in your work and deadline orientated, taking the lead on key high profile projects.
Analytical with a sharp mind, you will be able to encourage and work with diverse groups. Proven experience of cost accounting is essential and knowledge of the discipline within a manufacturing environment would be highly desirable.
As part of this role, key tasks will include:-
• The management and control of costs, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• New product costings and annual budget preparation, implementation of site targets and overhead management.
• Analysis and management of cost centre performance.
• Assisting Project Management teams, applying accurate costing data to validate decision making.
• Proactively managing financial awareness in various teams to ensure departmental maintenance of stringent financial controls.
