Payroll Assistant

A Non-Profit Organisation located in Newbury has approached the Network Professional team to source a Payroll Assistant on a temporary basis to help administrate and maintain the current payroll system that has been implemented. This role is to provide specific maternity cover for the existing Payroll Administrator, with the aim of starting in December. Nevertheless, this is an excellent opportunity for talented payroll personnel to gain exposure to a large payroll function and further their careers within a rewarding environment.
Your Role & Responsibilities
Typical duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Assisting with payroll processes and procedures, including timesheet and payroll processing, thus ensuring payroll processing remains accurate and compliant
* Handling and assisting with relevant administrative duties to payroll, including new starters and leavers.
* Assisting the Payroll Manager in the function of daily duties
* Entering payroll data into digital systems regularly
* Payroll accounting and end of month duties
What you will need to apply
The successful applicant will ideally have previous experience working as a Payroll Assistant and familiarity with various administrative duties attached to this. The applicant should have strong people skills, alongside the ability to process and execute requests carried out by the Payroll Manager or other personnel. Previous experience working within a Non-Profit Organisation is desirable, but not mandatory to this position.
