The Company
Able Bridge Recruitment are delighted to be working exclusively with an accountancy practice in the recruitment of a bookkeeper/VAT accounts assistant. The role will be reporting into one of the partners although you will have a dotted reporting line (on a day to day basis), to the client accountants. The post will be based in our client's office on the south side of Glasgow.

The Responsibilities
The role holder will be responsible for the completion and submission of client VAT returns on a monthly basis (approximately 15 returns). There will be additional adhoc requirements as well as liaising with clients in the collation of receipts and other documents that relate to VAT income and expenditure.

The Requirements
Our client is looking for candidates who ideally have worked in an accountancy practice in a bookkeeping capacity or who have recent experience of indirect tax computations/returns. It would be highly advantageous if applicants were ACCA/CIMA/AAT part qualified although this is not essential. From a personality prospective, we are seeking positive, can do, will do attitudes as the environment can be busy. The culture of the company is fun, lively and they it is common to see employees dogs bought into the office.
