Audit Assistant
NXTGEN are working with a leading Accountancy firm in Norwich who are seeking an Audit Assistant. The successful candidate will be joining a forward thinking and high performing team within their Corporate division. This Audit Assistant role will involve preparing financial statements, tax computations as well as concise Audit plans with support from your team leader. You will also help to support and maintain working relationships with a wide range of clients in a number of sectors.
Key responsibilities of the Audit Assistant role will include:
- Support the Audit team across a variety of sectors, reviewing both SME and large corporate clients
- Support the Audit team with financial statement reviews
- Help prepare tax computations as well as concise Audit plans
- Work with clients on VAT and Tax submissions when required
- Ad hoc duties when needed
The successful candidate will ideally be studying towards a recognised Accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with experience working for an Accountancy firm. Prior experience in Audit would be advantageous but given this is a varied role, those coming from a general practice background are also highly encouraged to apply. You will be passionate about adding value to your clients, as well as having excellent communication skills, maintaining client engagement.
