Main Purpose of Role
We're looking for an Audit Technical Consultant - Digital Assignment Specialist to help develop our portfolio of products and services and to support our clients with their increasing use of digital audit and compliance software.

This is an incredibly exciting role that will suit someone looking to develop their training/communication skills while building relationships with software developers, colleagues and clients.

The role will involve:
- Evolving our current product range and developing new solutions for our evolving market
- Liaising with software developers, client and colleagues to understand the possibilities, needs and requirements of systems
- Working with the Mercia digital assignments specialist and wider methodology and compliance products team to map the future direction of these products
- Working with our marketing and social media team to ensure Mercia are thought leaders in this area.
- In-house, public, face to face and online training in the practical use of these packages
- A number of hot and cold file audit file reviews using these systems to help really understand how they are used and can be improved
- The role may involve UK travel but this will be planned in advance. The role will be home-based, unless there is a preference to work at one of the group's offices when not at clients.

Skills and Experience Required
- ACA/ACCA qualified.
- A high level of familiarity with digital audit and compliance systems and their practical use on firms and engagements of all sizes.
- Current experience of working in or with accountancy practices.
- Strong technical skills together with the ability to engage and communicate clearly with clients both face-to-face and in writing.
- A love for the detailed technical aspects of auditing, financial reporting and other practice regulations and a desire to help others understand how to implement the rules efficiently and effectively.
- A natural curiosity which will mean you develop your technical knowledge ensuring that you are always up to date.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, you will often be the face of Mercia!
