Reporting to the FP&A Analyst, the main purpose of the role will be to support the Commercial Finance team. You will assist the Commercial Finance team in the preparation of monthly consolidation of UK&I reporting, the delivery of all performance reporting, and the provision of regular and ad hoc financial support to the wider business where required.
Main purpose of job-
- Reporting to the FP&A Analyst, the role will provide finance support to the Commercial Finance team for the UK&I business.
- Assisting the FP&A Analyst in the preparation of standard monthly reporting (Flash Report, Group Dashboard, Operational Review pack, Sales Performance reporting by region/business area) within prescribed deadlines.
- Ensuring compliance and integrity of procedures, controls and financial reconciliations for your area(s) of responsibility
- Working closely with Commercial Accounting and Financial Accounting Team members in the adherence of processes and procedures to secure ongoing control and compliance.
- To highlight any areas of risk or opportunity through the analysis of financial data, making recommendations for process improvement to the FP& A Analyst as appropriate.
- The role needs to operate at multiple levels and will involve a high proportion of detail
Tasks and responsibilities-
- In collaboration with the FP&A analyst, ensure monthly UK&I performance reporting consolidation is accurate and delivered in line with reporting deadlines
- Support the review of the month end close process
- Prepare and validate all aspects of monthly financial and operational reporting for areas of responsibility.
- Preparation, validation and circulation of Weekly and Monthly Dashboard figures including KPI's and SLA's.
- Work in close consultation with the FP&A Analyst in implementation of revised systems and processes
- Provide support to stakeholders on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis
- To utilise reporting and analytics tools to facilitate effective analysis.
- Support any ad-hoc projects as required
Knowledge, experience and skills required-
- Hons degree (Desirable), ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Advanced Excel user
- Numerate and able to adopt a logical approach to problem solving
- Excellent time management/organisational skills
- Strong team player
- Work under own initiative
- Good interpersonal (particularly communication) skills
- Excellent qualitative, quantitative and analytical skills.
- Committed to outstanding delivery with strong attention to detail.
- Able to multi-task effectively.
- Good communication and negotiation skills with the ability to focus on critical matters and to exclude less productive activity.
- Ability to easily get on with people
- Confident and unafraid to ask challenging questions.
