This high growth organisation on the Wirral are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join the organisation in a newly created role due to growth.
Reporting to an impressive Financial Controller, your core duties will include;
Assist in production of group annual and interim consolidated accounts.
Provide information requests for the external and internal auditors.
Maintain system master data in the ERP system.
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, including general ledger accounts and sub-ledger accounts.
Assist in month and year end close by processing journals and maintaining accurate books of account.
Understand significant balances/variances/transactions so that an accurate explanation can be provided to the Group & Statutory Reporting Accountant.
Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts, including notes and disclosures.
Validate adherence to delegated financial authorities, policies and procedures.Key requirements;
Previous experience in a similar Financial Accountant role, contributing to month end close routines
Experience gained in a medium to large organisation or shared service centre environment
Understanding of latest accounting principles and financial reporting rules
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs with strong capabilities within Excel
Previous use of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
Proficient in all Microsoft Office packages
Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
