We are recruiting for a Regional Tax Partner to join a Top 10 accountancy practice, to be based at the firm's Hertford office, with responsibilities across the North Thames region. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and talented individual to join a growing practice.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the region's Tax Team (alongside other partners, directors and managers) to deliver high-quality tax services to a range of clients of various sizes and from various industries.
Reporting to the Regional Managing Partner, the Regional Tax Partner will have the following
responsibilities:
* Support the Tax Partners closely to deliver tax advisory services
* Managing a portfolio of corporate clients, overseeing the compliance process
* Continuing to develop the high-quality provision of tax services by the firm
* Develop tax provision in niche markets where possible
* To be part of the leadership of the tax function across the firm and provide operational leadership to the local tax team
* Attending client meetings
* Mentoring and nurturing the team and providing strong, focused leadership
* Providing consultancy services to clients, including those of other partners
To be considered for this position, candidates will have the following skills, experience and attributes:
* ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified with post qualification tax experience in practice
* Previous Corporate Tax or Mixed Tax experience in a similar role within a practice environment
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and with clients
* Diligent, accurate and hands on approach to work
* Proven ability to read and interpret existing and new tax statute
* Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and know when to refer upwards
* Client focus and commercial awareness
* Project management skills to plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines
* Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically and be flexible in busy periods
* Maintain adequate CPD in all areas of tax
* Business and/or practice development experience with good networking skills
