An exciting opportunity for a Commercial Data Analyst to join a fast paced Finance team and will sit within the Commercial and FP&A team.

You will be supporting the FP&A Manager with the ongoing business growth and assisting with providing high quality reporting and analysis.

You will have fantastic exposure and full support with ongoing development within a market leading company.

The role

Support the finance team in producing and analysing trading data to gather insight into the business
Produce, maintain and update weekly trading report pack (semi-automated) for the business and analysis of sales and margin data to provide an insight into the week's trading performance
Update and maintain dashboards for business divisions to understand the key drivers of performance.
Identifying revenue and trends.
Provide the Management Accounts team with timely and accurate data (for the production of weekly, periodic and budget reporting).
Provide heads of departments with financial and operational information to assist with decision making
Build strong relationships with the wider teams and business partnering relevant departments to provide both support and challenge decision makingKey Personality Attributes

Computer literate with good interrogation of systems
Advanced Excel
Business intelligence software, Google Analytics, Microsoft Navision and Power Query experience preferred but not essential.
The ability to extract and manipulate large quantities of data and then present the data with the relevant level of detail for the target audience.
Strong communication skills with an ability to Business Partner across different departments.
Previous experience in a Commercial role within a retail environment an advantage but not essential.
Analytical mind set, excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver a consistent standard of reporting.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload
