Your new company
Hays are working in tandem with a highly reputable and well-establish care group based in Colchester to recruit a capable and personable Sales Ledger Clerk on a 18 month fixed term contract.

Your new role
The main purpose of the role is to support the Sales Ledger Team Leader with the administration of all associated finance processes for a specific division of the business. The key responsibilities include:

  • Creation of new accounts for service users
  • Invoice aspects of the ledger as part of a sales ledger team
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer details and account records
  • Proactively communicate with the homes to ensure up to date information is received and accurate
  • Business to business and consumer customer contact - telephone, email and letters
  • Respond to queries from customers and internal staff in relation to sales invoices or credit control
  • High attention to detail
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Produce final accounts
  • Prepare refunds ensuring all documentation received to release a refund

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours between Monday and Friday

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have worked within the care industry previously but must have experience in a similar Sales Ledger capacity previously. You must have strong MS Office skills and be capable of using a variety of software packages. You will also be able to:

  • Develop good and effective relationships with all aspects of the business internally and externally
  • Demonstrate an ability to ensure confidentiality

  • Basic negotiation skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Work to strict deadlines
