Head of Payroll

We are now looking for a PAYE payroll specialist to join us, Initially this will be a 3 day a week role (Mon - Weds) But will move to 5 days per week later in the year.
You will be the subject matter expert on all accounts related tools and processes and through your high impact skills be able to deliver strong results across key performance metrics as well as playing a role in supporting your finance team through a broad range of business challenges.
Your main responsibilities/accountability are;
Dealing with high volume PAYE payroll processing
Develop and update payroll reference manual for managers.
Maintenance of staff records including archiving and filing.
Preparation of ad hoc reports as required.
Liaise with HR regarding new hires, terminations, remuneration and conditions of service.
Workers compensation co-ordination.
End to end payroll processing.
Understanding and following payroll procedures and payroll related forms.
Maintaining and updating employee records on the payroll system.
Complying with relevant legislation and regulations
Assisting with month-end processes such as the preparation and reconciliation of superannuation, payroll tax and PAYE obligations.
Dealing with payroll queries from employees.
Coordination and management of the entire payroll function.The Ideal Candidate will have...
• Degree Qualified
• Maximum 2 years End to End Payroll experience ideally gained within a multi-company business
• Comprehensive knowledge of payroll systems.
Demonstrated payroll management experience.
Demonstrated team leadership ability.
Attention to detail.
Problem solving ability, analytical and numeracy skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work to deadlines
