My client a tier 1 construction contractor, has an opportunity for an experienced purchase ledger clerk to join a fun and expanding team, for more details read below...

The role Purchase Ledger within this business would be to provide a professional and efficient purchase ledger function by matching and checking high volumes of invoices, building relationships with other team members, buying and suppliers.

Duties

Process purchase ledger invoices and credit notes efficiently & accurately onto our
account's software, checking they match the purchase order and have a valid
delivery note / timesheet and then if they don't match write for a credit from the
supplier
Checking of timesheets received to ensure only valid hours are claimed
Payment runs
Ensure the invoices are loaded to the correct project code and with the correct
nominal code
Reconcile Supplier Statements, deal with any discrepancies
Accurately file invoices and delivery notes, as well as archiving when requiredRequired

2 to 3 years in an Accounts Payable role
CIS experience
Input, matching and coding high volumes of invoices accurately
Confidently communicate with suppliers
Ability to use own initiative but also
Follow processes and procedures & suggest ways of improving these
Attention to detail and Accuracy on data entry, reconciliations etc
Communication skills that can charm & challenge in a productive
manner - both written and verbal
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise
Ability to interrogate data and information received
Self-disciplined and efficient, with a flexible and proactive nature
Experienced in Excel and Microsoft office packages
Must have a strong work ethic
Professional at all times
Passionate about the role
Enjoys seeing a job through to the end, takes ownership
Sense of humour
