Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a highly progressive and leading independent firm of chartered accountants in Nottingham who are looking to add an Accounts & Audit Senior to their team.

This well-renowned firm have a fantastic presence in Nottingham, and they have a varied client base consisting of a range of small-medium business and OMBs. The successful candidate will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors.

The role will include the preparation and review of accounts and tax compliance work as well as leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion. The workload will be evenly split between the audit and accounts aspects of the role depending on when the audits fall.

As an Accounts & Audit Senior you will be client facing and will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, assisting in their development.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or will be Qualified by Experience. Individuals who are at the final stages of their studies will also be considered.

Recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position as well as experience of leading audit assignments is essential.

Duties &

Responsibilities:


Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies & partnerships

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist (Qualified by Experience will also be considered)
Experience of leading Audit assignments
