Assistant Financial Controller

Up to £60,000 per annum plus company benefits

C&D work with a market leading, multinational organisation who require an Assistant Financial Controller.

They will work closely with the Financial Controller to cover areas of finance including management accounting, balance sheet control, VAT compliance, and process improvement.

You will have responsibility for a team of three direct reports and liaise extensively with other Finance Team members and the wider business across the UK.

Key

Responsibilities:


* Management of a team of three with responsibility for all aspects of treasury and property accounting

* Accounting for Support Office overheads including partnering with senior business leaders to analyse costs and drive decision making

* Intercompany reconciliation for UK/Ireland and with US parent company

* Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations including resolution of outstanding items

* Liaison with US parent company to monitor compliance with global controls framework

* Maintenance of accounting records for holding company

* Preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns for UK and Ireland

* Assistance with preparation of statutory accounts

It is important you have ACA/ACCA, experience in managing a team and good working knowledge of VAT compliance in UK and Ireland.
