An opportunity is available in London to join a fast-growing FinTech. We are seeking in an intern in Finance. This is a 7-12 months paid internship starting in Dec 2020. In case of a 12 months internship, we can provide a rotation between departments (Financial control, tax, FP&A, Treasury)

Responsibilities
Key finance control tasks include, but are not limited to assist the finance team in:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts;
  • Analysing and comment on actual variances against prior period and budget;
  • Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies promptly;
  • Posting journals and performing cash book recs for UK-specific bank accounts;
  • Assisting with preparation of monthly flash forecasts and annual budgets for the Group;
  • Supporting the review of forex gains/ losses and intercompany transactions including transfer pricing, settlement of on-going charges and profit remittance;
  • Actively participating in the year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation;
  • Business partnering with specific budget holders across the organisation;
  • Driving continuous improvement of processes and procedures to support growth;
  • Providing ad hoc reporting to support management decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Master in Finance/Accounting/Audit
  • Strong MS Office skills particularly Excel
  • Proactive, organised, self-starter and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Experience of outsourcing and/or offshoring is advantageous
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
