Currently recruiting a Tax Senior for our client an Accountancy practice firm with an excellent reputation based in Cambridge. The role reports directly to the Head of Tax Department and other directors
You will be responsible for the planning, performance and completion of tax and related accounting assignments, including self assessment tax returns for a wide variety of private clients, some business accounts and corporation tax computations as well as involvement in mixed tax advisory work.
Responsible for managing jobs in your own portfolio, as well as assisting other managers in the department. Supervision and training of junior members of the department. Assignments involve a large amount of client interaction.
This role would suit a candidate with a general accountancy and tax background wishing to specialise in tax, with ambitions to further their knowledge and qualifications in this area.
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail, with experience in managing and completing assignments within time and budget constraints. Excellent communication skills are essential both internally and externally.
ICAEW or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3 years' experience of both personal and corporate tax in a practice environment.
Training towards an appropriate tax qualification (CTA) is offered either by attending courses or distance learning as preferred.
