The company
We are delighted to be working with a leading tech company with offices in the North West. Due to expansion they are looking for a Finance Analyst to join their team With a great working culture and environment, you will have a genuine opportunity to support growth plans for the business and shape strategic decision making.
The role could be worked from the Liverpool Office or you could work remotely with ad hoc meetings at head office site. So, if you don't want the hustle and stress of the morning commute, this role could offer you the perfect opportunity!
The job
The successful candidate will have previous experience in financial model design, data structuring and reporting. You must be a qualified accountant. The role is very broad and commercial, it would suit the intellectually curious, highly analytical creatively minded individual.
Reporting to the Financial Controller responsibilities will include:
Maintaining complex financial models and structuring data to facilitate easy analysis and scenario planning in the future
Building and designing financial forecasting models
Utilising technology, systems, processes to help the business become more efficient
Use of best practice techniques to be ensuring accurate and robust financial forecasts
Comfortable creating and explaining analysis for the Board, Regulators, Investors and other stakeholders
Improving processes to be more robust and accurate
Assist with departmental budgets
Assist with regulatory reporting
Highlight to the business any risk exposure for operational areas / projects
Analyse financial data to highlight key variances and trends ensuring these are fully documented, enabling effective mitigation actions to be identified
Validating accuracy of financial data
Preparation of ad-hoc management information and analysis
The person
Experience maintaining and developing multiple large financial models
Experience maintaining financial forecasting models
Experience in modelling and scenario planning
Very Advanced Excel, experienced in financial models including macros and VBA
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Automation, process improvement and analytics experience
Super confident in fast paced and entrepreneurial environment
Experience within the gaming or tech industry would be desirable
Strong team player but able to work independently
First class analytical skills
