The Position
Property Management Matters are the in house property management company for Galliard Homes. We are currently looking for a Senior Service Charge Accounts Assistant to join our team at our head office in Loughton, Essex.
Working within a busy team of five you will report to the Head of Finance and will undertake the following duties;
Taking ownership of the Service Charge and Ground Rent accounting function for a portfolio of properties, to include:
Setting up new sites including budgets & apportionments
Creating new tenancies in line with completions and assignments
Raising periodic demands and processing receipts
Answering leaseholders' queries
Processing purchase ledger Invoices & paying contractors
Reviewing expenses, investigating variances & posting corrections
Calculating & posting prepayments & accruals
Preparing Year End Accounts to trial balance
Liaising with external accountants
The Person
It is essential that you have the following experience & qualification to be considered for this role;
AAT qualified
Previous experience in a service charge accounting role
Must be able to work independently and organise your own workload
Confident user in both Excel and Outlook
Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
