About Our Client

Our client, based in Mayfair, London, is a dynamic and highly successful alternative capital focused advisory boutique that is growing at a phenomenal rate and has been pivotal in a number of very significant transactions since its inception three years ago.

As a result of it's recent successes, the business is expanding its footprint internationally and is looking to diversify to include raising two discretionary funds to complement their existing fund portfolio.

Job Description

This expansion has led to a need to recruit a dynamic, energetic and hands on finance and operations leader to manage and be responsible for finance, compliance, investor reporting and communication, operations, administration and liaison with external suppliers (auditors, fund administrators etc).

The complexity of the business is relatively straightforward now but this is likely to change over the near term, leading to a need to bring in an intelligent and adaptable individual with an entrepreneurial spirit who will then be able to grow with the firm.

The role will involve management of all financial and operational matters and assisting senior management in setting the strategy for the business. This will include (but not be limited to) the following:

Corporate Role

  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports
  • Oversight of compliance and company policy
  • Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards
  • Management of KPI reporting structure across the group
  • Group structuring and governance framework

Fund Role

  • Coordinate the annual and quarterly preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports to fund investors and lenders
  • Oversight of administrators and audit
  • Fund structuring
  • Oversight of compliance and company policy

The Successful Applicant

The company is looking to identify potential candidates from professional services, investment banking, fund management and other financial services organisations with the following skill sets:

  • Qualified accountant with significant PQE in industry or practice
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and control
  • Strong technical and analytical skill set to understand and construct the financial and operational infrastructure of the firm
  • Experience in managing and communicating with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in structuring funds and international taxation
  • Hands-on and can-do mentality with finance and accounting, setting processes up from scratch
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Communicative with demonstrable experience of reporting to senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-starter, energetic, motivated etc

What's on Offer

The individual will be joining a highly successful and rapidly expanding team and will have the opportunity to grow with the business. A compelling and attractive package will be on offer including a competitive basic salary plus bonus plus benefits and potential profit share.

Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents. All third party applications will be forwarded to Page Executive.
