Job Summary

The Finance Manager leads all day-to-day accounting operations, project finance administration, financial reports and accounting records keeping.

  • Job Description

    • Maintain records, collate financial reporting materials and perform bookkeeping or accounting for all transactions by project, work or revenue stream.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements and financial analysis including to financial statements; accounts receivable and payable reports; employee time, performance and profit share reports; etc.
    • Maintain employee records including but not limited to hours, salary, financial performance, personal time off, healthcare cost, etc.
    • Process payroll monthly, file all payroll taxes and pension contributions forms as required by GRA and NPRA and maintain payroll files and reports.
    • Prepare all client invoices and collect receivable when due on timely manner and process vendor payments for Leadership approval.
    • Keep proper records of all company assets, in use and out of use and maintain accurate depreciation on them.
    • Responsible for phone calls, emails and letters to track account receivables, billing records, payment requests and other financial related follow‐ups and engagements
    • Provide advice and assistance in making decisions in the areas of product pricing, financial analysis and accounting as requested by Leadership.
    • Working cooperatively with the company's financial consultants, auditors, insurers, lawyers, etc.
    • Advice Leadership on matters relating to financial management including treasury, asset and risk and ensure that they are well-informed about key financial issues that need to be addressed.
    • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of management accounts and effective operation of management information systems for all accounting functions, particularly those relating to purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, cash and bank, nominal ledger and stock control and provide an accurate and timely financial service including setting and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, cash flow analysis, management and financial accounts for inform decision making at all levels.
    • Support the maintenance of monthly, quarterly and annual budgets; work with Leadership to monitor budget/projection versus actuals.
    • Monitor compliance with business policies and internal control processes.
    • Spearhead the development of short, medium and long-term financial plans and champion their implement them.
    • Provide various reports as and when requested by appropriate stakeholders.

    Key Requirements

    • University degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
    • ICA, ACCA, CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
    • Minimum of 5+ experience in a similar role
    • Previous experience of accounting
    • Previous experience of project controlling is preferred
    • Confident can-do attitude with a strong sense of purpose
    • Structured, independent and able to take on ownership from start to finish of tasks/projects
    • Mature, balanced personality with the ability to maintain a cool head under intense pressure
    • Strong Excel skills
    • Strong analysis, problem solving and excellent communications skills
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
