Hays are delighted to be supporting an expanding organisation in Evesham with the recruitment of a Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

Your new role
Reporting into the Group Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts for a number of European territories. Working closely with other areas of the business, you will develop reporting and management information, analyse and review performance and challenge Senior Management in order to add value.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Provide accurate, timely and relevant month-end information
• Detailed analysis and reconciliation of control accounts and balance sheet accounts
• Calculate and maintain monthly stock provisions
• Responsible for net margin calculations for monthly accounts
• Support internal audit function
• Preparation of bad debt provision
• Compilation and distribution of daily sales report
• Review of marketing spend for monthly management accounts
• Maintaining cash flow report and assisting with treasury function
• Assisting in the preparation of annual audit files for all entities
• Support the Group MA with external Accountant queries
• Support with annual budgeting and forecasting
• Ad hoc financial reporting

What you'll need to succeed

• CIMA Part-qualified Accountant studying towards qualification -  QBE candidates may be considered
• Strong management accounting experience
• Proven track record in a similar accounting role and a good understanding of double entry bookkeeping
• Analytically minded and confident in questioning balance sheet and P&L transactions
• Background working in a fast-paced and commercial organisation (ideally manufacturing, retail or FMCG)
• Organised, proactive and able to independently take on tasks with a sense of ownership
• Commitment to constantly striving to improve processes and systems
• Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders
• Advanced Excel skills - Index, Match, Nested IFS, Pivot Tables, Lookups
