Leading specialist professional services group are, due to continued business growth looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to be based at their offices near Colchester, Essex & home office and with travel to operational businesses in the UK 3-4 days a month.


Your new role

• The Finance Business Partner will lead the finance activity for their division, they will partner the Directors and the operational stake holders to shape, drive & influence strategy & performance to achieve business targets and objectives.
• They will build and maintain strong working relationship with the division's Directors and Operational stake holders.
• Provide support to the audit programme
• They will measure and analyse business performance and deliver KPI reports to the division on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• They will partner Directors and Operational stake holders and provide support with making financial decisions identify potential risks and help generate workable solutions.
• They will provide the Directors and stake holders with high quality management information and analysis, to identify trends, opportunities and business risk.
• Drive the process of improvement of management information to the Division.
• Develop an understanding and analysis of the profitability of the differing streams of business to drive the strategy for the division
• They will help drive and play a key role in the finance transformation programme
• The Finance Business Partner will ensure results are reported in a timely and accurate manner, and that detailed management information for the division and group is maintained.
• They will maintain a strong financial internal control framework in line with group policies and procedures, and ensure good corporate governance.
• They will help drive improvement in customer service and the communication links between the operational business and support functions.
• The Finance Business Partner will have ownership of the divisions business planning, budgeting and forecasting with monthly and quarterly reviews.

What you'll need to succeed
The Finance Business Partner will be degree educated (or equivalent) and hold a professional accountancy qualification with experience as a Finance Business Partner for a medium to large organisation.
They will have strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, gravitas and proven ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
They will perform well in a change environment, under pressure, be agile and meet and exceed in the delivery of routine and adhoc deadlines.
They will have strong IT skills with experience of financial modelling
They will be ambitious, keen to develop their skills and be proactive in their approach to self development in the role.
