My client is one of the biggest employers in the UK with sites in Swansea and Newport
Description
The role of Internal Auditor is key to the success of this organisation, providing high quality Risk analysis and reports to senior leaders across the organisation.
Based at either the organisations Swansea or Newport sites, the Internal Auditor will be joining well established teams who currently deliver a very high level Internal Audit Service.
You must be an individual that will thrive in this challenging, varied and complex environment; self-motivated and able to buy into the vision of delivering excellence and value for money. While my client has an increasing focus on data and IT, they also consider culture, behaviours and quality, so your work will be varied and interesting, with a clear link to helping this organisations ensure safety for every person the organisation employs and works with.
Profile
You will be a qualified Accountant or Auditor with either IIA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or CIPFA.
Knowledge of the following would advantageous:
- Public Sector Internal Audit Standards
- Best practice
- IT auditing
- Risk Management and Assurance Frameworks
- Corporate Governance
- Controls Assurance
- Control Frameworks
- Stewardship
Aptitude and Abilities;
Ability to plan, control and carry out audit assignments
Ability to organise assigned tasks and work under own initiative
Ability to identify systems weaknesses and to use initiative/internal control knowledge to provide management with practical solutions
Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Good analytical, interpretational and comparative skills capable of dealing with complex and sensitive information
Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
IT literate with practical computer application skills
Ability to supervise and provide training /instruction to junior members of staff
Highly committed and self motivated, with a commitment to high professional standards
Emotionally resilient and able to respond to exposure to distressing or emotional circumstances
Ability to work under pressure
Need for intense concentration over a sustained period of time
Ability to work flexibly
Job Offer
A salary in the range of £31,365 - £37,890 per annum.
**the role will either be offered on £31,365 or £33,176 (based on demonstrable experience and current salary)
