Our client, a respected and long established Chartered Accountants based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, is looking for a Qualified Accountant Manager with experience and understanding of the Agricultural sector to lead a team and take responsibility for a large rural and agricultural focussed portfolio.
Reporting to the Director, you and your team will provide all round accounting and taxation services to clients, within the existing portfolio, who require tailored advice and planning.
Duties and experience.
- Management of agricultural portfolio including monthly work in progress management, billing, staff and workflow management ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Assisting Director with specific advisory reports in relation to inheritance tax planning, land development, VAT registration, farm diversification and other matters that covers all relevant taxation.
- Reviewing accounts and tax returns for farming companies, partnerships and sole traders prepared by the agricultural team, clearing all review points to director level.
Skills and Experience.
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA, with a clear knowledge and understanding of Agriculture and a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.
- Working to deadlines and in a cost effective manner you will need to able to review and complete accounts files and personal tax returns and take pride in ensuring excellent customer satisfaction, building long lasting relationships and offering a value-added complete and bespoke service.
- Excellent computer skills and strong accounting skills (Sage, Xero, Quickbooks and Key Accounts).
- Well organised and the ability to prioritise workload.
- Self-motivated and career focussed with passion for working as a team and leading more junior members of the team.
- Agricultural audit experience who be desirable.
