Fixed Asset Controller / Assistant Financial Accountant

Full Time

6 month fixed term contract

£32,425 per annum

Our client is an ambitious and well-established housing group with deep roots in three heartland areas of Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington.

One of the largest landlords in the North West, they have 1,500 staff, manage more than 40,000 homes, support almost 75,000 customers and invest at least £5m a year into local communities and life changing causes.

They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Fixed Asset Controller to join the team based in Liverpool on a temporary contract for 6 months.

Within this role you'll be responsible for:

Controlling the day to day management of the fixed asset registers

Managing the recording and reporting of new assets, disposal and changes within the component accounting process

Providing and reviewing timely and accurate monthly management account reports for Management, and quarterly reports to the Board, regarding the Group's fixed assets

Providing timely and accurate variance analysis with respect to budgets and forecasts for the Group's fixed assets

Providing accurate and timely financial management information

To be successful in this role you will:

Ideally be a qualified or part qualified accountant

Have experience of working in a management accounting environment

Have excellent knowledge of fixed assets accounting and transaction management

Have knowledge of financial reporting systems and monthly financial management reporting routines.

Have an understanding of building / developments and capital projects

Be capable of staying organised and focussed within a demanding environment

Have experience of systems migration
