We are working with a business on an exclusive basis to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant - paying a great salary with study support and amazing holiday allowance!
Client Details
Based in Liverpool, this is a highly regarded business that is looking for someone to cover a maternity for up to 16 months on a fixed term contract. They offer a service across all sectors and now distribute their products and service globally.
Description
Because of this, they are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to help support the accountancy function with all reporting requirements, particularly around data extraction and manipulation on Excel
- Monitoring company performance and analysing information on sales
- Monitoring stock across different locations and preparing external reports to customers, as well as carrying out stock valuations and reconciliations
- Sales analysis and reconciliations, and liaising with sales and marketing teams to help with queries, missing stock etc
- Posting journals at month end and monthly write off figures
- Deferred income
- Producing WIP reports using Sage and Excel
- Preparing profit and loss accounts and annual statements
- Calculating recharges to projects
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Preparing royalties reports
- Assisting in development and improvement of financial reporting processes
- Supporting audits on VAT, reconciliation, tax processes
Profile
For this Assistant Management Accountant role, you must meet the following specification:
- AAT qualified or studying towards another finance qualification - CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
- Experience in a management accounts role
- Understanding of the P&L and balance sheet
- Strong Excel skills - pivot tables, look ups, data extraction/manipulation
- Good communicator
- Desire to learn and progress
- Be immediately available or short term notice
