The role:

* Managing and overseeing UK VAT
* Oversee VAT return compliance
* Submit quarterly VAT return to HMRC
* Knowledge of VAT law and strong technical understanding of VAT
* Managing UK VAT strategy for the UK entity and monitor future developments (legislative and commercial)
* Management and supervision of UK VAT manager
* Managing and overseeing UK VAT advice to business lines and functions across the group
* Advising on a wide variety of UK VAT issues including fund management, corporate finance, commodities, real estate, leasing as well as retail and investment banking.

You:

* Strong track record of providing VAT advice in the financial services industry
* Wide variety and spectrum of VAT advisory expertise gained in a practical role
* Direct experience of advising on commodity transactions and leasing is highly sought
* Highly effective and strong communication skills
* Strong stakeholder management skills
* Advanced Excel user
* Strong analytical skills
