Project Accountant

Sheridan Maine are working exclusively with a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in the Birmingham area actively looking to recruit for an experience Part Qualified Project Accountant with strong projects exposure.

The Role
As the Part-qualified Project Accountant you will have strong experience within an analytical side of finance, you will be reporting directly to the FP&A with reports on costing and providing regular updates on projects.

Duties

  • Responsible to managing the end to end process of projects from start to finish
  • Working closely with the FP&A Manager with tracking of orders and forecasting while integrating all stages of project reporting into the ERP system
  • Support the sales teams to create winning profitable tenders with incisive financial data
  • Reporting on profit margins and cash while also red flag where projects are over or under budget
  • Execute cost to project finish including financial forecasting consisting of invoicing, revenues and gross margins
  • Pinpointing and implementing process improvements
  • Gravitas to challenge current processes and decision making with evidence

Person Specification

  • Part qualified accountant
  • Experience and interest in business partnering and analytical tools
  • Hands on, proactive and dynamic individual who has the ability to operate in a fast paced environment
  • Advanced Excel
  • Exposure to Power BI or similar package would be an advatage

Offer
