Role Summary


Following a period of strong growth, we are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join our team. Based from our Nelson office in Lancashire and reporting into our Finance Manager, you will be part of a faced paced, exciting business that continues to grow across multiple regions including UK, Europe, US and Australia. Our ideal candidate is someone with experienced in transactional accounts including both sales and purchase ledger and a readiness to learn and develop in other aspects of finance.

Responsibilities


Sales Ledger:

o Assisting in posting invoices / customer credits and dealing with account managers.

o Assisting in posting daily receipts from bank.

o Assisting with collections and reconciling customer accounts.


Purchase Ledger:

o Responsibility for maintenance of international purchase ledger.

o Processing supplier invoices, including relevant VAT codes.

o Assisting in weekly payment runs including processing employee expenses.

o Support with ad hoc requests and building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.


Treasury Management, Month End and Other:

o Assist in the preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts and monitor KPI's.

o Completing balance sheet reconciliations.

o Maintaining fixed asset register.

o Preparation and posting of month end journals whilst working within a strict month end timetable.

o Support Finance Manager in preparation of the month end board pack.

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

o Minimum 2 - 3 years relevant sales / purchase ledger experience for a global business.

o Experience dealing with transactions in different currencies.

o Passionate about working in a fast pace environment with like-minded colleagues.

o Intermediate excel skills (VLOOKUP's, Pivot tables, SumIfs, etc).

o Previous experience of SAP advantageous but not required.
