DI have an exceptional opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join their team based at their offices in Guildford, Surrey. This is a full-time, permanent post.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
- Form a close working relationship with the Directors, other Senior Executives and Non- Executives.
- Provide leadership to the Board's Finance and Accounting strategy, to optimise the company's financial performance and strategic position.
- Take overall control of the company's accounting function.
- Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
- Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
- Ensure that all of the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation, whilst mitigating taxes due, using all available HMRC allowances and deductions.
- Lead and develop finance teams.
- Work with senior teams to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans.
- Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed.
- Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies.
- Corporate finance: manage company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity, disposals and acquisitions, as appropriate.
- Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties, including customers and advisors.
- Handling VAT, PAYE and Tax duties, including corporation tax.
- Update and implement financial policies and procedures proactively.
- Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk to the business, such as mitigating the chance of fraud and error and also in relation to taxes.
This is a full-time position based in our offices in Guildford.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Finance experience in a complex environment.
- Broad experience across accountancy.
• Handling VAT, PAYE and Tax duties, including corporation tax.
- Experience of driving and delivering cost transformation programmes.
- Commercial individual with the ability to drive change and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and planning/budget forecasting skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- An ethical, professional and confident approach.
- Highly motivated with the aptitude to independently manage assignments.
Qualifications desired:
- Working towards or gained a professional qualification in a financial field (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
Salary:
£35k - £40k
