SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

To be considered for the role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field;
  • Several years of experience in a business or finance environment; management experience ideally gained within the insurance industry;
  • Demonstrable leadership skills;
  • Stong interpersonal skills including solid written and verbal communication skills;
  • Outstanding mathematical skills;
  • Computer skills including strong Excel skills;
  • High attention to detail; organisational skills;
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
  • Analytical skills;


THE ROLE

In this position within the Group Financial Control Department you will provide support to and interact with all other departments within Financial Reporting, as well as be a direct point of contact to reporting units worldwide. You will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of dedicated areas within the consolidated financial statements and will actively contribute to the process within financial reporting. This mainly includes the notes compilation for the externally published annual, half year and quarterly reports, where your main tasks will include documentation control, ad-hoc project support, footnote compilation for the various reports and participation in projects on a Group level by giving support and proactively assessing potential impacts in the financial reporting processes.


They are looking for a team oriented, highly reliable, communicative and credible person, with strong interpersonal, relationship management and networking skills, excellent analytical capabilities, a pronounced focus on customers, quality, time and results, and with accurate, persistent and efficient working methods.Yopu will be responsible for the efforts and results of the financial department and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in regards to all financial and accounting activities. Overseeing financial department staff in day-to-day operations.

  • Oversee all company accounts and investments
  • Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
  • Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants
  • Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback
  • Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
  • Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
  • Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
  • Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
  • Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
  • Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
  • Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
  • Report to the CFO with timely and accurate financial information
  • Assist the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
