A vacancy has arisen for a full time Assistant Management Accountant in a small team based in Margaret Street, London. The team supports three Divisional Business Directors in providing financial and non-financial information across 9 divisions, with revenue in excess of £250m. The London-based team consists of three divisional business directors, a management accountant and an assistant management accountant. The purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control function and the bulk of the nominal ledger work is conducted by a shared finance processing function based in Cambridge.

Key Responsibilities
- Management and financial accounting and balance sheet reconciliations for small subsidiary entities
- Assistance with invoicing and income reconciliations
- Perform monthly cost sweeps between cost centres to ensure accurate reporting of numbers
- Assistance with generation of monthly finance reports
- Responding to finance-related queries raised by the business
- Ownership of budgeting and forecasting of property and office running costs and recharges for large multi-discipline offices across the UK
- Production of "shadow" profit and loss reports on a monthly basis, to include revenue reconciliations and cost analysis work
- Production of client billing analysis reports as required by the business
- Internal audit testing of invoices raised by the business
- Liaison between the business and our external auditors where necessary
- Any ad-hoc requests as directed by the team or business
Experience
- Experience working in a management or financial accounts team is a necessity
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is highly beneficial but is not essential
- Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge (macro-level not required)
- Possesses the ability to build relationships across the business of all staff levels and disciplines
- Focussed: commits to goals and delivers consistently against these
- Cost management: financial and commercial acumen with excellent planning, budgeting and operational reporting skills
- Able to deal with a wide variety of work, prioritising workload appropriately
- Attention to detail and a good eye for report lay-out are essential for the role
- Continuous improvement: delivers efficiency in addition to effectiveness
