An exciting Business Services organisation who are a household name and have an amazing culture, are currently recruiting for a Group Reporting Manager, who would be able to make the step up to the Head of Group Finance within 12 months.

Some of the duties as the Group Reporting Manager:

  • Responsible for the preparation of the consolidated accounts for the FTSE 250 Group and statutory reporting for all Group entities and Joint Ventures.Leading on the preparation and delivery of the Group statutory audit and managing the relationship with the external auditors.
  • Ensuring the Group's technical compliance with new IFRS standards and providing advice on complex Group transactions.
  • Ensuring acquisitions, divestitures and investments are integrated and accounted for correctly, working closely with tax.
  • Providing wider technical support to the Group Finance Team/ Regional Finance Teams from a statutory and financial reporting viewpoint.
  • Responsibility for the update and ownership of the Group Accounting Policy Manual.
  • Effective management and leadership of a team of 2 within the Group Finance function.
  • Working closely with the FP&A and tax teams, to deliver a more integrated and collaborative approach from a Group Finance perspective.
  • Preparing financial narrative and memos for the Audit Committee/ Main Board papers.
  • Reviewing and challenging financial information from businesses to ensure accuracy and consistency across the Group.
  • Developing and improving the Group's current processes and systems, particularly in relation to the reporting process.
  • Preparation of the Group VAT return.
  • Ensuring all deadlines and reporting requirements are adhered to.
  • Assistance with other ad-hoc financial projects as required.

Knowledge and Skills of the Group Reporting Manager:

  • Qualified ACA with a minimum of 2/3 yrs PQE experience within a FTSE 350 Group Finance function.
  • Strong technical competence with a good knowledge of new IFRS standards.
  • Experience in the consolidation of a large number of entities.
  • Demonstrable track record of new system implementation and process improvement.
  • Ability to perform contracts review and understand underlying accounting issues.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office with Excel at an advanced level.
  • Good communication skills, coupled with an analytical mind.
  • Strong report writing skills with the ability to express financial issues articulately at multiple levels.
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
  • Must be personable not just a technical accountant.

  • Up to 75k
