External Financial Reporting Manager

3-6 Month Fixed term Contract (potential permanent opportunity)

Agora Talent are partnering with a successful and well known UK retail business to welcome an interim Financial reporting Manager to their ranks. This role will be for a minimum of 3 months and will be reporting directly into the Finance Director. Our client has seen significant growth and substantial results under the circumstances this year. As a result they are looking for switched-on and ambitous candidates to join their journey in an exciting period of change.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparation of annual statements ad disclosure notes for half year interim and annual accounts.
• Assist with audit and be a main point of contact throughout process.
• Ensure the preparation of clear and accurate reports to effectively support budget holders across the business.
• Have close contact with senior management teams to provide financial support and aid in the formation of long-term financial plans
• Supporting the divisional finance teams to ensure the financial reporting requirements are met
• Point of call for financial reporting and provision of technical accounting knowledge across the finance team.
• Delivery of high standard reporting within set timelines and ensuring compliance for group policies.

The successful candidate will:

• Preferably be ACA qualified with a big 4 background and experience of working in large scale organisations in industry.
• Have experience preparing IFRS financial statements
• Have a strong knowledge of statutory accounts
• Up to date knowledge of technical accounting standards in a group consolidation setting.
