My client, a Private equity backed technology business are recruiting for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager.

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be part of a team of 5 and will take responsibility for a range of group financial and management accounting matters.

  • Develop a wide range of business and commercial skills in a high growth global business.
  • Work closely with finance and business managers at a range of levels and up to the Executive level
  • Help to develop and shape new group processes as we grow
  • Opportunity to influence development of KPI reporting and other performance measurements

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of group wide forecasts and budgets, owning and improving the forecasting model. This will include reforecasting throughout the year.
  • Business partner to budget owners and Heads of Department providing timely information.
  • Help the business to onboard clients, and then manage and account for the financial arrangements thereafter
  • Ad hoc requests/analysis which cascade from the CFO/CEO/Board of Directors and the wider team.
  • Oversight and input on the monthly management accounts pack, responsible for value add on presentation of numbers consistent with department reporting
  • Responsible for performance measurements for example Customer Profitability and Project ROI.
  • Point of contact for the group on finance policies including travel and expenses
  • Point of contact for global insurance provider to ensure business is covered.
  • Assist with the financial and statutory reporting process.
  • Assist with the R&D tax credits claims, and other tax compliance in all group territories including implementation of group transfer pricing policies.
  • Reviewing and promoting new or improved policies, processes and group-wide controls to ensure the business' Information Security compliance

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A hands-on self-starter, willing to work on a wide range of financial and commercial tasks from accounting system journal entry to project budgeting and financial planning.
  • A thoughtful and enthusiastic individual with a proactive style, enquiring mind, positive outlook, and a supportive team player.
  • Advanced Excel user essential. Experience of using a range of accounting and operational software tools.
  • An instinctive project manager with a problem solving, can do mindset. Commercially aware, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Aware of, and ideally have an understanding of, big data, analytics technology, and SaaS.
  • Educated to degree level with strong, analytical questioning intellect. ACA qualified or equivalent with time in an FP&A focused role
