About the Role:

The primary role of the Finance Business Partner (Shared Operations) is to work closely with our new COO, to gain a clear, detailed understanding of the Company's direct costs.

To Provide scrutiny, challenge, and support in managing the cost base, and create insightful, clear reporting and analysis to the Executive team.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly into the Commercial Finance Director, the successful candidate will work alongside the COO to support the business with:

• To build an understanding of the Company's direct cost base by MRR/NRR, supplier, division, and product, and its key levers.
• To help the Company to gain granular insight into gross profit
• Partner the COO to identify and help resolve potential areas of efficiency, risk and other opportunities within the direct cost base.
• Develop and maintain on-going financial analysis (including budget versus actual results), and commentary that is clear, concise, and of sufficient quality to be presented to the Executive team for review.
• Develop relationships with non-finance operational stakeholders across the company, in order to understand plans and trends that may impact future cost.
• Work closely with the Accounting team and other systems teams across the company to derive and understand data round the direct cost base.
• Supporting the Accounting team on the month end close and on the audit process.
• Build periodic/long-term forecasts when required, and own future budgeting process for direct costs
• Always represent GCI in a professional manner, both internally and externally and support the adoption of GCI's corporate values.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA or ACCA) with 2-3 years PQE
• Prior industry experience, with focus on partnering non-finance staff.
• Exceptional stakeholder management experience, allying challenge & scrutiny
• Experience in creating original analysis.
• Strong analytical ability, coupled with the ability to explain analysis clearly and concisely verbally and in writing
• Organised and strong attention to detail
• Clear and concise communication style
