Senior Credit Controller


Key Responsibilities


  • Review / monitor billings process
  • Review leases and tenancy schedules for accurate billings data (ensure tenancy schedule changes are accurately reflected in the sales/property systems and SAP)
  • Monitor billing data upload into SAP (review reconciliation of sales/property systems to SAP)
  • Prepare / review regular billings summary to share with senior management


Manage collections and arrears position


  • Prepare regular arrears (billings and collections) report to share with senior management
  • Produce commentary / support for aged receivables
  • Produce forecast incoming cashflows based on expected receipts
  • Manage process to chase aged arrears; liaise with Property Management and Legal as required
  • Build relationships with key customers to promote information flow and arrears management
  • Monitor receipts upload into SAP (review bank accounts to ensure transactions have been appropriately recorded)
  • Review unallocated receipts to ensure receipts are allocated against invoices on a timely basis
  • Manage direct debit set up process for tenants (follow up on bounced direct debits)


General


  • Manage, motivate and guide Accounts Receivable clerks
  • Liaise with the various internal and external stakeholders (including internal property / asset managers and wider finance team)
  • Continually look to build processes, improve reconciliation robustness and introduce controls
  • Support Accounts Receivable Manager
  • Provide working papers for audit purposes and support audit queries (through liaison with the Management Accounting and Financial Accounting teams)
  • Deal with tax queries with the support of the internal tax team


Key skills:

  • 3 years of experience in a relevant job role
  • Software experience:
  • SAP B1 preferable
  • Property Management system (e.g. Horizon) preferable
  • Project and people management
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Solution-oriented
