Recruit UK are working on an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Investment Manager to join a boutique, fully integrated Wealth Planning company in a remote capacity.


This independent, Chartered firm draws on an impressive history. They run a client-centric proposition focusing on high value, bespoke services and currently manage over £1.2billion of private client's money.


The role involves supporting the in-house investment team to maintain and develop a full suite of active, passive, overseas and sustainable Model Portfolios operating on two DFM platforms. This is a career-defining position, working closely with and reporting to the highly successful Investment Director. Not only does this offer an unrivalled learning opportunity, but there is also clear-cut progression with the prospect of taking over an existing portfolio of clients.

Skills and experience required:


  • Ideally 5+ years investment experience, preferably across multiple asset classes at a large established wealth manager
  • Degree-level educated
  • Significant progress with professional qualifications through the CII, CISI or CFA
  • Commitment to continuing professional development
  • Although initially home-based, you must live close enough and be happy to travel into the central London office 1 or 2 days a week further down the line
  • In-depth knowledge across a broad range of asset classes
  • Demonstrable experience of private client portfolio construction
  • Significant direct client contact would be advantageous
  • Keen interest and high-level understanding of macro drivers (economic and political) and the relationship with asset classes
  • Strong IT skills and understanding of industry research/analysis tools (FE Analytics advantageous)
  • Ambitious and motivated with great communication skills
  • Client-centric focus
