Roebuck Estates owns and manages a collection of vineyards in exceptional locations throughout Sussex. We are a rapidly expanding company committed to producing the highest-quality English sparkling wines for global distribution. The Finance Manager position is a high-profile role which reports to the General Manager and involves direct contact with the Company's Board of Directors.

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Responsible for month-end close process including maintenance of the general ledger, bank reconciliation and producing financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement)

• Prepare and maintain annual budgets and forecasts

• Maintain, manage and analyse production and sales data

• Prepare monthly or quarterly management reports including forecasting, budget variance, production and sales data

• Identify opportunities to introduce, streamline and improve systems and process efficiencies.

• Provide analytical support to the Executive team and Board in order to drive strategic and operational decisions.

• Oversee year-end audit and tax filings

• Assist GM as needed on a variety of projects

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Degree educated (Accounting/Finance or associated subjects a plus)

• 4+ years of experience in an accounting or finance position

• Experience in wine business financial or management reporting a strong plus

• Excellent accuracy and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills

• The highest standards of professionalism and integrity

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and to tight deadlines.

• ACCA, CPAA or equivalent a plus

• Experience with Sage preferred

The Finance Manager position will be based full-time in the Petworth area, West Sussex. The successful candidate will live within a reasonable commute.
