Agora Talent are currently recruiting for a high-growth retail organisation that has experienced exponential growth this year. They are currently looking at building in a new level to their business due to the sustained growth of the business and are searching for an Interim Group Reporting Accountant who can contribute to the overall success and expansion of the business. You would truly be joining at a brilliant time to make an impact as well as be exposed to a number of new exciting initiatives.

Sitting within Group Finance for 3-6 months, you would be assisting the Reporting Manager in delivering external reporting, acting as the subject matter expert for financial reporting accounting and providing technical knowledge across Finance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accurately producing primary statements with commentary for half year accounts and annual report.
  • Assisting with the production of the annual statutory accounts for all subsidiaries.
  • Preparing and reviewing consolidated monthly postings, balance sheet and cashflow.
  • Preparing consolidated Group cashflow and reserves.
  • Supporting half year and year end external reporting process and working closely with internal and external auditors
  • Contributing to the preparation of technical accounting papers submitted to the Group Audit Committee and Board.
  • Providing technical accounting knowledge across Finance to ensure financial reporting requirements are met.
  • Working efficiently to meet reporting deadlines whilst adhering to group policies.


About You:

  • Immediately available
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) from a technical background with experience of group reporting or straight from practice.
  • Experience of preparing IFRS financial statements.
  • Excellent time management, and organisation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
